The CITY Guides: HOUSTON,TX

HOUSTON, WE SOLVED YOUR BOOT PROBLEM.

Welcome to the Houston CITY Guide, where the vibrant spirit of the space city meets the classic Texan tradition of one of our favorite rodeos. It's where big city vibes blend seamlessly with down-home charm. As we shine a spotlight on this iconic city, we're celebrating its rich heritage and friendly hospitality. In honor of our new Houston store opening, let's take a tour of the best eats, cultural hotspots, and the genuine warmth that makes Houston special.

WHERE WE'RE STAYING

Houston boasts an array of fantastic places to stay scattered across the city. Our top three picks? Well, let's start with the Four Seasons Houston, located downtown. You'll love the vibe here – the team's hospitality shines through in every interaction, and hey, there's even a speakeasy tucked away if you're in the know (but shh, you didn't hear it from us).

Then there's The Post Oak, standing tall as Texas' only Forbes Five-Star Hotel and Spa. It's all about luxury and pampering here, making it a standout choice.

Lastly, check out La Colombe d'Or. This place offers three totally unique stay options – from a historic mansion to sleek tower suites and cozy garden bungalows. Whatever your style, Houston's got you covered when it comes to accommodations.

WHERE WE'RE TOASTING

Houston has no shortage of places to celebrate throughout the year, whether you're cheering on the Astros or getting into the spirit of rodeo season.

For those looking for a classy cocktail experience, Anvil in Montrose is the place to be, surrounded by some of the area's best restaurants. If you're in the mood for something unique, head to Clarkwood, housed in an old theater, where you can sip on an amazing espresso martini topped with a toasted marshmallow.

On Thursday nights, Armando's is the spot to be for margaritas and dancing. They clear out the tables, turning the whole place into one big party. And if you're in the Heights area, unwind on the patios of Wicklow or Heights Bier Garten for a relaxed atmosphere and good vibes.

So, whether you're looking for upscale cocktails, unique drinks, or a lively dance floor, Houston has plenty of options to raise your glass and toast to good times. Cheers!

WHERE WE'RE EATING

Houston's food scene is a flavor-packed adventure. Goodnight Hospitality Group stands out with must-visit spots like Rosie Cannonball and Montrose Cheese and Wine. Then there's the legendary Pappa's family, serving up Houston favorites, including the iconic Little's Oyster Bar.

Autry Park is where culinary dreams come true. Annabelle's Brasserie offers upscale French cuisine in Insta-worthy surroundings. Directly next door to CITY Boots Houston sits MF Lobster and Ceviche, the brainchild of Chef Chris Kinjo, who is also responsible for MF Sushi, another standout.

But let's not forget Goode Company, covering all culinary bases. Our personal favorite is Goode Company Taqueria for some of the best tex-mex. Grab top-notch steaks at Georgia James, and amazing italian at Trattoria Sofia. Ladies who lunch will find the perfect spot at Tiny Boxwoods.

For the best barbecue in town visit Truth BBQ, from pit master Leonard Botello IV.

Houston's culinary landscape is a playground of flavors just waiting to be explored!
